WANN Studio Commissions

Spaces designed
to be felt.

I design gardens, courtyards and interiors that change how a place feels to be in — for homes, and for brands that want people to remember standing in their space.

My work pairs very wild planting with calm, monolithic structure, so that the wildness does the living while the structure does the holding.

I'm based in Canberra, and I work right across Australia.

How it works

First, I fly to you.

I'll always come to you first, because a site visit isn't something I'm willing to skip. I need to stand in the space, feel how the light moves through it and understand its context before I draw a single line.

While I'm there, I scan.

A 20-minute walk with a LiDAR scanner gives me a complete 3D model of your home and garden, so that every drawing afterwards begins from what's really there rather than from guesswork.

Then I design from my studio.

The concepts, the planting, the materials and the documentation all come together back in my studio, and distance makes no difference to any of that part of the work.

For approvals and construction, I partner with local professionals in your city.

Licensed locals handle the structural and certification work, and I stay across the build the whole way through to handover.

Inside and out

The proof is my own home. I'm renovating WANN House — the gardens, and the interiors: the stone benchtop, the staircase, the kitchen, and a bathhouse to come — with every part filmed, shared, and costed in the open. If you've seen the work on Instagram, this is the same hand, available for your space.

The instruments

I'm a fourth generation gardener, and I've spent the last 16 years working in spatial design. In the last few years I've layered in modern technology — LiDAR scanning, 3D modelling and AI. Old knowledge, new tools.

Engagement

The minimum level of engagement is $10,000. For interstate commissions I fold travel into the fee and quote it flat and upfront, so there are never any surprise costs.
