Execution keeps getting easier. Judgement does not.
Every month I answer members' questions on a recorded call, and you can ask about anything I am making or anything you are. In between you get everything I publish, including the guides other people pay for.
0 of the first 100 places taken.
This is the wiring section from my LED strip lighting guide. It covers the full connection from the power point to the finished strip, including soldering, wiring the driver, and running two separate strips from one power supply.
The full written guide is part of the Specification Library. Members get that guide, every other paid guide, and everything I publish while they are a member.
The library is still small. This is the level of detail I am building it to.
There is no curriculum and there are no modules. You ask what you actually want to know, and it can be about something I am making or about something you are. The range below is wide because my work is: planting and gardens, renovations and the details inside them, the business of doing this for a living, and the tools that sit underneath all of it.
About my work
If you are growing things
If you are renovating or building
If you design or make for a living
Whatever you are working on
Your real work is the focus.
The first call is in the first week of September. Members vote on the day and the time, so it is set by whoever is in the room by then.
The coaching is new. These are from people who have used my guides, my courses and my design work.
“If you want to do your project properly (rather than just doing it the only way you know how) talk to Lach. Every time I need to make a complex decision on one of my renovations, I engage him. He always sets me in the right direction.”
“A game-changer for how I viewed my garden. It helped me so much in framing what are the considerations I need to accept and work within — choosing plants got so much easier because I was getting overwhelmed by the choices.”
“Like being gifted a whole new world. I’ve been introduced to a new way of looking at, planning and understanding my space. Lach is a wonderful communicator too.”
“As both a garden owner and designer, I find these resources incredibly valuable for viewing gardens through a fresh lens — one that enhances mental well-being and supports biodiversity.”
“Concise and informative without being overwhelming. It gives you skills and resources that go further than the guide itself — a really concise overview of how to become a participant.”
“Lach is a landscape genius with whom I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating on a number of projects, large and small. His advice is based on extensive experience, but always with a bold and unexpected streak of imagination that enlivens all the landscapes he touches.”
I am gently critical, and that is the same for everyone. I will tell you honestly what I think of the work, including the parts that are not working, but I have no interest in being harsh for its own sake and nobody is getting taken apart in front of a room.
Every answer comes with what to do about it. A criticism with no next step attached is just an opinion, and you can get one of those anywhere.
Some people who join will be better designers than I am, and some will have been doing this a lot longer. That is completely fine and it makes for better calls. What I am offering is not authority over your work, it is a specific body of knowledge and a second perspective from someone who may notice things you do not.
One thing to know before you send anything in: this is a group, and it is recorded. The questions you ask and the projects you bring get answered on the call, and that call becomes part of the library everyone reads. If something is confidential, either keep it out or ask it without the identifying details.
The first hundred people can join for $25 a month, and that price stays the same for as long as you remain a member.
There is one important reason I am making the first hundred unusually cheap: you are helping me build this.
Right now, the library is small. I have years of work, drawings, details and knowledge, but relatively little of it has been properly documented and organised.
The live calls are how that changes.
Bring me your projects, drawings, questions and problems. I will answer them, and the useful parts will be recorded, edited and added to the library.
Over time, the questions this first group asks become the library everyone else gets to use.
The full library. Everything already there, and everything I add while you are a member.
The ability to ask me questions. You can bring your own work to the calls and ask for my opinion, help solving a problem, or feedback on a design.
The same price for as long as you stay. Your membership remains $25 a month. If you cancel and come back later, you join again under whatever the offer is at that point.
Once the first hundred places are filled, the structure changes. The $25 tier becomes library access only. If someone joining later wants to bring their own work to me and ask questions, that will sit in a separate tier at roughly three to four times the price.
The first hundred keep both.
That feels fair to me. You are helping create the thing everyone after you will be paying to access.
And while you are here, I will give you as useful an answer as I can. I am not interested in holding the good information back for another tier.
One thing to be clear about: this is group coaching. Questions and answers happen in front of the group and may become part of the library.
If you need private advice on a project, I also do one-to-one consulting. It is not currently open, but you can email me and I will let you know when it is.
A recorded group call every month with your questions on it, everything I publish including the paid guides, and my own projects documented properly as they are built. My design consulting starts at $300 an hour; this is the same judgement, shared with a room.

That is completely fine. Leave your address and I will write to you when the first hundred is close to full, so you can decide then rather than now.
